On behalf of the Indonesian Government and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London I would like to welcome you, selamat datang, to the new, redesigned version of the Embassy’s official website.
It was high time for us to upgrade and update our website to meet the needs and challenges to provide the latest information concerning all aspects of Indonesian life, aimed at both the Indonesian community in the United Kingdom and Ireland who wish to remain in touch with what happens at home as well as aimed at the wider society in Britain and Ireland, whether one has a professional or business interest in Indonesia, or one who would like to visit Indonesia as a tourist to enjoy the beauty of our land, the richness of our socio-cultural heritage and the friendliness of the Indonesian people.
Following the redesign there still will be the usual features of consular information, information about commercial and investment opportunities as well as tourism, but also a dedicated news section and sections about such topics as Islam, democracy, human rights and also the facts of the Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua.
And I would like to stress the word “facts” as opposed to “propaganda”. In this regard, the Embassy is more than happy to engage openly with those Indonesians and non Indonesians who may have some criticism or a grievance.
The new navigation will make it easier for the visitors of the website to find the information they need and download any information or forms they need. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at the Embassy.
