Welcome to the website of the Education Division of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London. This website has been renewed to contain most of the necessary information for the Indonesian students planning to study in UK as well as already studying in UK, and also for UK students who are planning to study in Indonesia. Continuous improvement will be carried out as necessary.
For those of you who are planning to study in UK, if successful, you will be studying in one of the best countries in the world that provides excellent education. In this website, there are information on the available scholarships and information of university rankings in the world as well as in UK. Information from Guardian website is beneficial as it shows the ranking of universities in UK in general and per field of study. There are also articles written by the current and former Indonesian students in UK that will give you the much needed information and their experiences while planning to study and while studying in UK.
For those of you who are already studying in UK, congratulations! You are among the few that can taste excellent education in UK. For you, there are information on how to register yourself to the Embassy after arriving in UK as well as prior to departure from UK. Information on scholarship can also be beneficial if one will further his/her education to a higher degree.
For those of you who are from UK, there are information on scholarships to go to Indonesia such as Dharmasiswa from the Ministry of National Education or Arts and Culture from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There is also a yearly Writing Competition from the Ministry of National Education through the Indonesian Embassy in London that grants 3 prizes to visit Indonesia for a week. Expect to be amazed by the diversity of a country with more than 13.000 islands, more than 300 ethnic groups and more that 700 languages and dialects living in harmony. Note that the Embassy of Indonesia held free Indonesian classes every Saturday. Sign up and join us to speak a language being spoken by at least 240 million people on earth.
