H.E. Yuri Octavian Thamrin held a gathering on 29 June 2008, in Wisma Nusantara, to welcome Prof. Didik J. Rachbini, Head of House Representatives’ Commission VI who is also head of the delegation for “Road Show Visit Indonesia Year 2008”. The said gathering was held since Prof. Didik J. Rachbini could not participate in a previous meeting convened earlier on 23 June 2008 at the Indonesian Embassy in London for the road show delegation.

H.E. Yuri Octavian Thamrin in particular deemed the gathering necessary considering Prof. Didik J. Rachbini’s valuable knowledge and expertise which would be beneficial for increasing Indonesia ’s tourism market in Great Britain and Ireland . It was begun with lunch and followed by a lively discussion between Prof. Didik J. Rachbini and the attendees on how to promote Indonesia ’s tourism. During the discussion, a few particular topics, such as the promotion of Indonesian culinary tourism in England , gained much attention from the audition. Eventually, the discussion was to end after a full two-hour session and the gathering finally had to be concluded at 3 pm local time.
